About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation Maintenance. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, and chemical, metallurgical and training support.

Duties

Develop and manage electronic security systems (ESS) assurance policies, plans, and procedures for the organization. Monitor the progress of vulnerability management compliance for all ESS systems. Oversee the execution of the ESS training program. Test and repair circuits and sensors, following wiring and system specifications.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must complete Conventional Physical Security Course (CPSC), ESS Design, Security Engineering Training, Professional Locksmithing, Access Control Technician, Pro Lock 1/2 and Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency courses.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 15%.
  • This position must be able to obtain and maintain a valid State of Texas Driver License.
  • This position must be able to obtain and maintain Flight Line and Vehicle Licenses.
  • This position may be required to work overtime.
  • This position may be required to work emergency overtime.
  • This position may be required to work irregular tours of duty, weekends and Federal holidays.
  • Must pass a pre-appointment physical examination and meet established requirements.
  • This position requires a Tier 3 background investigation.

OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resource Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications StrategyOperations SecurityPhysical SecuritySecurity Equipment OperationSecurity Program ManagementVulnerabilities Assessment and Management Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
