This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This Logistics Management Specialist position is assigned to the Program Executive Office, Command Control Communications-Tactical (PEO C3T), Program Management Office I2S, PDM CPI2, located in Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Duties
Serves as a Logistics Management Specialist concerned with directing, developing, and performing logistics management operations involving planning, coordinating, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support for major complex systems.
Performs the full range of planning, liaison, contract monitoring, equipment and organizational interface, control of other government elements supporting the effort, and logistics phases of field exercises and tests.
Manages the processes of planning, directing, managing, monitoring, and evaluating and correcting deficiencies in ILS throughout the research, development, and acquisition process.
Develops documents used for the preparation of basic life cycle funding and budgeting to support the acquisition of the system/equipment. Establishes or ensures the establishment of ILS requirements for acquisition documents and contracts.

- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for Foundational certification in the Acquisition Career Field Life Cycle Logistics within 36 months of entrance on duty.
- Business travel required up to 25% of the time.
- Selectee must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade NH-02/GS-11 or equivalency which includes: 1)Developing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, fielding, and evaluating the execution of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for major complex, systems that encompass new and emerging technologies or complicated fielding requirements; 2)Supporting and managing the fielding of a major weapons system from concept through field deployment; and, 3)Managing the processes to correct deficiencies throughout the acquisition process. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02 or GS-11).
