This position is located in the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Programs (OJP), Office of Audit, Assessment and Management (OAAM), Enterprise Risk Management and Analysis (ERMA).
Duties
- Leads the development of methodologies and approaches for the identification and assessment of risks throughout the organization.
- Directs the establishment of key risk indicators and evaluates the effectiveness of the internal control framework in addressing risks and accomplishing goals and objectives.
- Serves as an advisor and authoritative expert providing guidance to high level officials on the most challenging program and operational issues.
- Supervise a group of employees and provide administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.
- Provides expert guidance in the oversight of grants and/or cooperative agreements that have a significant impact on major agency mission objectives.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level. Specialized experience is experience which is in or related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Examples of specialized experience include:
- Knowledge and experience developing and implementing a risk management program to manage the identification, assessment and monitoring of operational and strategic risks.
- Providing risk mitigation analysis, advice and guidance that contain difficult and diverse functions or issues.
- Developing and facilitating training and technical support regarding risk management strategies and programs.
