This position is located in the Infrastructure Operations (IO), Records and Privacy (R&P) team. The ideal candidate would possess the expertise with privacy policy issues such as completing all aspects of privacy compliance & risk management activities, such as records notices, privacy threshold analyses, & privacy impact assessments; assessing technologies to ensure privacy controls; and using Government information to support agency policies.
Duties
Infrastructure Operations is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a Management and Program Analyst, responsible for performing a wide range of assignments that focus on evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of GAO policies, programs, and operations in the areas of field office operations, facilities management, security and emergency management, and records and privacy. Minimum Qualification Requirements:
This position is equivalent to a GS-14. This position requires 1-year (52 Weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the NEXT LOWER BAND, PT-II, PE-IIA, CS-II or GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent private sector experience.
Specialized experience for this position is (1) knowledge of federal government records management legislation including the Federal Records Act and Privacy Act; (2) ability to analyze office, agency, or government-wide programs and develop recommendations for new approaches to execute these programs and (3) developing and implementing operational policies and procedures that comply with audit policy and federal privacy, records, and information management statutes and regulations.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
