Duties

You will direct, coordinate, develop, analyze, and write assessments, requirements, and needs statements that inform Naval Special Warfare's (NSW) future capability planning, programming, resourcing, acquisition, and program management. You will research and maintain awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and other defense capability developments that may be adaptable to future NSW systems. You will track and maintain visibility on the progress of various NSW-related technology research projects in coordination with the N9 Innovation Analytical Master Plan. You will will supervise a team of active duty officers, enlisted, and civilians; plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work.

Requirements

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing coordination, development, analysis of planning, programming, resourcing, acquisition, and program management; AND coordinating special projects and directing operators to integrate emerging technologies into combat applications.
