You will serve as a Training and Education (T&E) Branch Learning Specialist in the T&E Branch, Marine Corps Engineer School (MCES), Training Command (TRNGCMD) of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND (TECOM). This position provides quality control in the application of Marine Corps Instructional Systems Design (MCISD) and the Systems Approach to Training and Education (SATE) in the design, development and management of all activities involving Marine Corps engineer and utilities learning strategies.
Duties
You will design new training courses that conform to current learning doctrine and Marine Corps orders and directives.
You will conduct learning analysis to determine learning objectives and/or learning outcomes with the assistance of subject matter experts (SMEs).
You will develop learning courseware (i.e., manuals, guides, studies, media, simulation scenarios, practical exercises) that are technically and doctrinally sound and effectively and efficiently enhance learning.
You will develop training and education instruments to assess learning transfer.
You will participate in all engineer and utilities Course Content Review Boards (CCRB) and individual training event Training and Readiness Management Group (TRMG) conferences.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing analysis for the design and development of learning methodologies to incorporate (e.g., design and implement) new learning programs (e.g., courseware) for organizational training. Examples of Qualifying Experience may include demonstrated understanding of Marine Corps Instructional Systems Design (MCISD) and the Systems Approach to Training and Education (SATE); adapting established educational/training products and/or processes to new learning development and processes; performing a wide variety of interrelated or nonstandard learning analysis, design, development, evaluation and clerical work resolving a wide range of problems associated with the design and implementation of new learning courseware.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree;
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's degree;
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D., in a field directly related to the position being filled.
