Duties

You will be required to research and provide routine staffing and placement advice and guidance to employees and supervisors. You will advise management on the use of various hiring authorities, pay setting, incentives and other workforce management flexibilities and conducts research on these topics before seeking the assistance of higher level specialists or supervisor. You will be assigned to assist and guide hiring officials through the hiring process while ensuring recruitment actions and supporting documentation are complete, accurate and meet technical and regulatory requirements. You will assist with recruitment and non-recruit actions, actions, special projects, training, and supporting co-workers during periods of extended absences.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

NO-02: Your resume must demonstrate three years of general experience in which one year is equivalent to the GS-04 or equivalent pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. General experience must demonstrate the following: Performing Human Resource work analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gathering pertinent data, and recognize solutions, planning and organize work, and communicating effectively orally and in writing. NO-03: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing routine staffing and placement advice and guidance to employees and supervisors, using Human Resource (HR) policies, checklists, regulations and reference material to support the services provided. 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree

Combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience. The percentage of the required education plus the percentage of the required experience equals one hundred percent.
