Duties
Provide audiovisual production, photography, digital imaging, printing, and other services in the visual information mission area.
Selects photo and video images for production of the final products for approval by the customer.
Manage various special interest projects with organization to determine the purpose of the targeted audience.
Coordinate with the customer to identify requirements for still and video images to ensure required equipment is readily available and all actions will be accurately documented.
Plan the details of developing a variety of conventional visual products that depict or present subject matter information or ideas.
Develop a comprehensive database of visual information such as in-house generated computer graphics to be used as a library of materials accessible through computer interfaces.
Utilize digital imaging software to edit/create various products such as photo, video, and audio products.
Recommend placement of cameras that best capture images of subjects and activities.
Use automated systems to produce a variety of printed material and video products that document the activities of the command.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Will be required to complete training/certification for operating tactical vehicles (HMMVW). Access to some locations may be by tactical vehicle only.
- This position requires the incumbent to pass a pre-employment physical examination and annual physical thereafter.
- Occasional lifting of equipment up to 50 pounds may be required.

Specialized Experience: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Utilize digital imaging software for editing and creating photos, videos, and audio products; AND 2) Capture imagery such as still and video to document equipment or systems, movement of personnel and/or other activities in an operational environment; AND 3) Format visual material such as graphics, photographs, and illustrations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower level/grade position in the federal service (GS-11)
