About the Position: The Army Contracting Command is responsible for acquisition support and contracting for a large number of the Army's major weapon systems, for systems and equipment supporting other services, for depot-level maintenance services, and for foreign military sales customers.

Duties

Review and evaluate fund requirements and provide expert advice and recommendations to the Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA). Direct and provide guidance on resource management processes. Plan and monitor the execution of the ACC-DTA budget. Review and utilize pertinent policies and objectives, monthly and quarterly financial management reports, and knowledge of the command programs and customers. Apply budget policy, guidance, program knowledge, and/or practices to predict and formulate impact status on current and future year budget requirements. Review and interpret policies and procedures which impact ACC-DTA’s operations. Execute plans and objectives for the Annual Operating Budget which includes multiple types of funding. Monitor obligations and expenditures throughout the execution and accounting phases of the budget.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Selectee must meet position requirements for Financial Management level 2 Certification within 24 months of entrance into this position. Selectee must adhere to guidelines and requirements of this certification program.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
