Duties
As a senior Budget Analyst, you will review and evaluate fund requirements and provide expert advice and recommendations to the Army Contracting Command-Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA).
Directorate and leadership on all resource management processes.
Plan, program, formulate and/or monitor the execution of the ACC-DTA budget.
Review and utilize pertinent policies and objectives, monthly and quarterly financial management reports, and knowledge of the command programs and customers.
Apply budget policy, guidance, program knowledge, and/or practices to predict and formulate impact status on current and future year budget requirements.
Review and interpret policies and procedures which impact ACC-DTA’s operations.
Execute plans and objectives for the Annual Operating Budget which includes multiple types of funding.
Track and monitor obligations and expenditures throughout the execution and accounting phases of the budget.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- DoD Financial Management Certification level 2 is required for this position and must be achieved by the incumbent within two years of entrance into this position. Incumbent shall adhere to guidelines and requirements of this certification program.

Specialized experience at GS-13: Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled such as: Analyzing and/or evaluating continual changes in program plans/funding and their effect on financial and budget program milestones; Analyzing financial and budgetary relationships to develop recommendations for financial and/or budgetary actions; Planning and/or monitoring execution of budget; Preparing narrative justifications for projected funding needs, ensuring needs are documented in schedules and reports; Developing and providing effective methods to troubleshoot and work through complex funding problems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
