About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the US ARMY INTELLIGENCE AND SECURITY CMD MISSION SUPPORT COMMAND/ACOFS, G-6 FORT BELVOIR, VA.
Duties
Provide administrative direction to meet internal suspense’s/taskings, and external requirements from regional mission partners.
Serve as the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) in acquisition standards and processes for activities across the enterprise IM/IT service delivery areas INSCOM wide.
Manage the Information Technology (IT)/Information Management (IM) operation functions as a critical node of INSCOM’s global Ground Intelligence Support Activity (GISA) enterprise.
Supervise six Division personnel and exercises operational control of GISA nodes in CONUS and OCONUS.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
- In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET Security Clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
- Temporary duty (TDY) travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
- All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.

- Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.

Specialized experience is defined as experience a Contract Officer Representative of Information Technology/Information Management (IT/IM) support, including network management, life cycle support, hardware maintenance, configuration management, COMSEC support and computer operations.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-14).
