About the Position: This is a permanent position as a Financial System Analyst with the Soldier Support Institute (SSI) at Fort Jackson SC.
Duties
Provides Financial Management (FM) subject matter expertise and program management support to ensure FM instruction and related training activities maximize effectiveness of available government Information Technology (IT) resources.
Participates in the development, delivery, and sustainment of progressive performance-oriented systems training across the breadth of resident and distributed Learning courseware.
Serves as the staff expert for the accounting interface to multiple other business and reporting systems which operate in multiple technical environments.
Advises the commandant on the development, capability, and sustainment of enterprise-wide systems, and related Army-wide sustainment training.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT LEVEL 2 CERTIFIED - must be able to obtain this certification within 24 months from hire date.
- NATIONAL AGENCY CHECK WITH WRITTEN INQUIRIES (NACI) - Appointment to this position is subject to a background investigation to determine your suitability for Federal employment.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) applying financial management principles, practices, laws, and regulatory guidance; 2) serving as staff expert on automated accounting and financial management systems; 3) responding to questions and solving problems within the system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11 or above).
