About the Position: This is a PERMANENT Financial Management Analyst position with the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center located at Fort Jackson, SC.
ELIGIBLE FOR SITUATIONAL TELEWORK ONLY, INCLUDING EMERGENCY AND OPM PRESCRIBED "UNSCHEDULED TELEWORK".
Duties
Maintain budget/financial systems such as Defense Travel Systems (DTS), General Fund Enterprise Business Systems (GFEBS), Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) and Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A).
Coordinate the compilation of data from automated systems to develop and maintain a variety of reports.
Interpret financial statements and reports and provides overall guidance and assistance relative to the financial operations of the organization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to pass a full background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 10% of the time.
- Incumbent required to obtain and maintain a Financial Management Level 2 Certification within one of year hire.

GS-11 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying accounting, budgeting, and resource management practices to review financial transactions for the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: finance, accounting, etc.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement for GS-11: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
GS-12 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying accounting, budgeting, and resource management practices to review financial transactions, analyzing financial regulations and/or directives for related transactions, and interpreting financial reports to provide guidance relative to the financial operations of the organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
