Duties
Serves as the primary point of contact for monitoring inventory records and inventory related actions.
Plans, directs and monitors section activities involving extensive research and coordination to identify and resolve problems relating to inventory and customer order discrepancies affecting a wide range of assigned items.
Identifies, analyzes, and makes recommendations to resolve conventional problems and situations in workflow and inventory accounting actions.
Participates in portions of broader studies of supply management operations and/or the evaluation of program effectiveness at the operating level.
Supports the meeting of customer demands in a timely fashion which ultimately impacts Military logistics readiness and sustainment.
Understands and adheres to audit sustainment activities related to monitoring, managing, and adjusting inventory records and resolving inventory discrepancies.
Ensures employee work products comply with the prescribed laws, regulations, policies and guidelines.

Qualifications
To qualify for a Supervisory General Supply Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must
support:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-12 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes:
- Experience with automated inventory systems (i.e. EBS, WEBSDR, WEBVLIPS, LDG and DSS).
- Coordinating with Financial Liaison Specialist, Acquisition Specialist, Product Specialist and Supply Planner to investigate blocked invoices, aged intransits, and contract receipts.
- Reviewing highly complex or unusual error actions related to inventory discrepancies.
- Performing special assignments such as studies and reports on inventory discrepancies, inventory adjustments, and other factors; analyze independently and resolve difficult issues/problems.
- Working with the appropriate teams to develop, recommend, and implement corrective actions to the Enterprise Business System (EBS), training materials and business processes.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
