Duties

Plans, directs, oversees, and supervises all activities performed by the branch through its subordinate sections which includes Packaging Specialists, Product Specialists, Product Data Specialists, and Mechanical Engineer(s). Provides technical/quality support as well as customer service support for vendor Cfolder system access for weapons systems management by the Aviation Demand and Supply Chain. Oversees mylar acquisition, storage and distribution; vendor customer service for engineering data/BIDSETs issued as part of the procurement process; administration of five automated trackers utilized to authorize distribution of engineering data- -released under multiple licensing agreements, receiving and tracking BIDSET and single document requests supporting procurement and technical management of items procured by DLA. Provides subject matter expertise for state-of-the-art engineering data management methods and tools, as well as, representing DLA and its interest as a part of government, military and industry engineering data committees/groups.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supervisory General Supply Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To qualify at the GS-13 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Manages DLA technical data management programs and related technical processes to include packaging and product specialist functions. Knowledge of release strategy workflows, supply discrepancy reports (SDRs), manual bidset request tracker (MBRT) requests, , building technical data packages, Cfolders system, data dissemination guidelines, packaging and product data workload related to acquisitions, pre and post award actions and DLA 339 Request for Engineering Support. Interprets regulatory and statutory guidance, service/DLA performance-based agreements, Joint Engineering Support Instruction (JESI), and various DLA Enterprise Business System (EBS) workload reports. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
