Serves as a Administrative Support Assistant (OA), incumbent performs work independently related to the administrative and clinical work of the programs' Home Care Team and patient care activities.
Duties
Major duties include, but not limited to:
Responsible for the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies
which keep the program in compliance with Joint Commission Accreditation Standards for Home Care.
Responsible for calculating and analyzing data using statistical formulas (using programs
such as Excel). Compiles, organizes and tracks program data which may include statistical information in
support of the program operations. Compile statistics from source materials, such as local and national
data sets. Check source data to verify completeness and accuracy. Compile reports, charts, or graphs that
describe and interpret findings of analyses along with recommendations. Present analysis, findings,
recommendations to Program Directors and Medical Center Committees,
Responsible for the overall administrative operations of the HBPC and MFH programs,
assisting the HBPC Directors and MFH Coordinators. Incumbent will be expected to use sound judgment
and manage the HBPC office independently in the absence of the Programs' Coordinators and Medical
Director. Utilizes word processing and other types of software to process and produce a wide range of
documents, some of which require complex formats, in support of the mission of the office. Creates,
edits, and reformats reports requiring advanced functions, such as those utilized to generate tables of
contents, multiple columns. Responsible for correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuations, and
terminology used in the office.
Work Schedule: 8 am- 4:30pm Monday-Friday

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 12/01/2023.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-6 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-5. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials.
Proficiency Requirement: In addition to meeting the experience, applicants for these positions must show possession of the following skills, as appropriate. Applicants may meet these requirements by passing the appropriate performance test, presenting a certificate of proficiency from a school or other organization authorized to issue such certificates by the Office of Personnel Management local office, or by self-certifying their proficiency. Performance test results and certificates of proficiency are acceptable for 3 years. Agencies may verify proficiency skills of self-certified applicants by administering the appropriate performance test 40 words per minute typing speed
You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-5 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Provide administrative support using Microsoft Office ( e.g. Word, Excel, Access, or Power Point) to create reports, spreadsheets, presentations, memorandums, graphs, and correspondence. Preparing and updating a variety of reports, calendars, and meeting agendas. Taking minutes, preparing and disseminating correspondence. Experience with managing and monitoring the budget and any other funds assigned. Proficient at 40 words per minute typing speed. (Words per minute are based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors.)

Note: A full year of work is considered to be 35-40 hours of work per week. Part-time experience will be credited on the basis of time actually spent in appropriate activities. Applicants wishing to receive credit for such experience must indicate clearly the nature of their duties and responsibilities in each position and the number of hours a week spent in such employment.
Physical Requirements: The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there is some walking, standing, bending, reaching, stooping (checking inventory in cabinets high and low to the floor, changing computer paper and cartridges, carrying of light items such as papers, books, folders, supplies and driving an automobile, etc. At times, the position requires carrying supplies and equipment not to exceed 50 pounds. The incumbent is required to maintain a valid driver's license.
