This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner.
Duties
As a Management Analyst (Supervisory Management Analyst), you will:
- Provide advice and operating assistance to the Division Director, Office Director, and Deputy Assistant Secretary with regard to the conduct and operation of all functions with the Division.
- Supervise and coordinate Housing web management activities. Develop and maintain Housing's web content for Housing web products and ensures that content standards are applied to web-based applications developed by the Housing program offices.
- Act as a management consultant and analyst, and catalyst to the Division Director for creating new ways to use the web to carry out the Department's mission and goals and provide customer service.
- Represent the Division Director and/or the Office Director with key Departmental officials on many issues, including contract development, task orders, procurement actions, personnel management, and budget matters.
- Coordinate training for Housing employees on new technology products to ensure that information management supports Housing's mission and is in compliance with Department policy and government regulations.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized experience for the GS-15 level is one year of experience at the GS-14 level, or equivalent that has equipped you with the knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized Experience is defined as:
- Leading information technology projects that include the design, development implementation and ongoing maintenance of web-based software. Examples of this type of experience should include: designing systems architecture; designing user interfaces; integrating hardware and software components; agile methodology for software development; business process re-engineering; and privacy and security requirements for holding and exchanging of PII information; experience with business intelligence tools; AND
- Communicating orally and in writing with senior management and peers both internally and externally; AND
- Supervising or managing staff responsible for information technology within an organization.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-15you must have been at the GS-14 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
