You will serve as Financial Management Analyst of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will have knowledge of financial concepts, budgeting and resource management practices, methods and procedures in the examination and analysis of
regulations, laws, directives, ledgers, journals, accounts cost data and related transactions.
You will have knowledge of one or more of the following automated accounting systems – Defense Agency Initiative (DAI), Defense
Travel System (DTS), PeopleSoft, Fusion Oracle (FMS), Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) and DAI Payroll.
You will have knowledge and skill to maintain fund control and accurate reporting of accounting data through automated systems.
You will have knowledge and skill to monitor and troubleshoot financial activity accounting systems to: identify problem areas; determine the action required to correct or improve operating procedure effectiveness.
You will have knowledge of the processing cycles and techniques within various automated systems required to process and trace transactions, analyze need for adjustments and assure completion of corrective actions.

- This is a Financial Management Level 1 certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year one year of Financial Management Analyst experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing Financial Management work, applying a knowledge of budgetary and financial policies, procedures, and regulations in a variety of financial functions to include; formulation of budget, cost estimates, evaluating budget requests, interpret budget policies, payroll, cash control and administrative work in connection with accounting. Specific work experience must demonstrate the following duties: 1) Analyzing and recommending costs and benefits of alternative methods of financial management of programs and administrative operations; 2) Utilizing various financial systems to extract financial data for budget formulation and execution; 3) Supporting plans, programs and activities for presenting and defending budget estimates; and 4) Evaluating and reporting budget requests, obligations and expenditures.

Education
Educational Substitution:
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
1. Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree related to the position being filled.
2. Successfully completed two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree related to the position being filled.
3.Obtained an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled.
