This announcement for an Administrative Support Assistant position is to clear ICTAP/CTAP priority lists. It is only open to current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the ICTAP/CTAP. This position is located in Fort Vancouver National Historic Site in Vancouver, WA. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 (EST) on the 11/22/2023 to be considered.

Duties

Fort Vancouver National Historic Site: Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will work from approximately Mid January through December, and you will be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year. Uses computers and appropriate software for data collection, analysis and collating. Prepare reports, forms and tabular material, providing proper spacing, heading and arrangement for ease of understanding and information processing. Serve as division receptionist; take, record and distribute mail, telephone, radio and e-mail messages; make arrangements for division staff and other meetings. Provide accurate and reliable information about the park to visitors and other employees. Serve as payroll timekeeper for divisions; may input payroll records (T&A) into database. Coordinate procurement and account information with clerical and administrative staff throughout the park. Providing budgetary, timekeeping, travel management, meeting coordination, file organization and maintenance, correspondence preparation and purchasing and procurement support. Preparing travel authorizations, requests and vouchers for the Division. Write justifications, purchase and reconcile financial tracking procedures. purchases using Government Purchase Cards within federal procurement regulations. Input purchase requests and supporting documentation into financial management system.

Qualifications

All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-11/22/2023-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount qualified specialized experience. To qualify for this position at the GS-06 level, you must possess one of the following: SELECTIVE FACTOR: This position performs office automation and requires the ability to type 40 words per minute based on a 5-minute typing sample with three or fewer errors by self-certifying. Candidates who do not meet this requirement by close of this announcement will receive no further consideration for this position. - AND - EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: performing a wide variety of advanced administrative functions such as coordinating payroll, preparing and entering personnel actions, coordinating travel arrangements, managing a procurement system, and preparing, tracking, and reconciling an organization's budget. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sectors. ICTAP/CTAP Statement: Current surplus and current or former displaced Federal individuals who have special priority selection rights under the Agency Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP) or the Interagency Career Transition Assistance Program (ICTAP) must be well qualified for the position to receive consideration for special priority selection. Well qualified means that the applicant meets the following: OPM qualification standards for the position; all selective placement factors, where applicable; special qualifying conditions that OPM has approved for the position, where applicable; is physically qualified with reasonable accommodation, where appropriate to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry; and is rated by the organization at least at the well qualified level on all competencies. Federal employees seeking CTAP/ICTAP eligibility must submit proof that they meet the requirements of 5 CFR 330.605(2) for CTAP and 5 CFR 330.704 for ICTAP. This includes a copy of the agency notice, a copy of their most recent Performance Rating, and a copy of their most recent SF-50 noting current position, grade level, and duty location.
