Duties

The primary purpose of this position is to assist journey level utility systems repairer-operators by performing the simpler and more routine duties of repairing and operating utility systems for Federal buildings and Facilities. The incumbent will perform assistance work incidental and/or preparatory to that of higher graded repairer-operator of utility systems such as air conditioning, heating, wastewater treatment and water treatment.
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:
Ability to do the Work of the Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (SCREEN OUT). Assist journeyman level repairers with the activation, operation and maintenance of water/wastewater treatment systems. Assist in taking water samples, making proper adjustments to chlorinators and assist in performing water laboratory tests. Assist with sewage pumping operations and emergency sewage system repairs such as repair work on plumbing fixtures, service lines, and valves.
Knowledge of equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc.
