You will serve as an Engineering Technician (Nuclear) in the Nuclear Engineering and Planning Department of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will serve as the technical expert on the concepts and practices of nuclear planning, estimating, and engineering.
You will provide job planning services for work and technical documents using Baseline Advance Industrial Management (BAIM) and other established procedures.
You will prepare accurate technical and planning documents and reports in a timely manner for interested groups.
You will problem solve to make judgements and decisions for shipboard machinery components and systems.
You will utilize computer software used in developing nuclear engineering and planning products.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present (e.g. fumes, dust, heat, ionizing and non-ionizing radiation and chemicals). You will be required to participate in medical surveillance programs.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector applying nuclear technical guidance and work principles to resolve complex problems and coordinate various phases of work for ship repair production operations.
