You will serve as a SUPERVISORY ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Fleet Technical Support Division of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF.
Duties
You will exercise administrative and technical supervision over subordinates for technical engineering work.
You will plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set priorities and prepare schedules for completion of work.
You will establish and maintain liaison with NAVSEA, ISEAs Fleet Commands and other support activities for coordination of efforts and mutual support in resolution of technical and logistics problems affecting reliability of assigned systems.
You will establish contact, as necessary, with engineering personnel of manufactures involved and obtain and interpret specific information not available in Navy Publications.
You will serve as senior technical advisor for Area of Responsibility (AOR) engineering systems.
You will represent Fleet Technical Support Division at conferences and seminars concerning maintenance policies for systems within the cognizance of the Branch.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector leading technical engineering efforts for surface craft weapon control systems and/or Hull, Mechanical and Electrical systems to include maintaining liaison with technical experts in manufacturing and agency representatives to discuss procedures and methods for resolution of specific problems and exchanging technical engineering information and data to ensure coordination and execution of projects.
