You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the FINANCIAL MANAGMENT OPERATIONS (FMO) of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will analyze the interrelationships between appropriations and the various GL accounts and subsidiary accounts maintained in order to determine the need for and the type of adjustment necessary to reconcile and balance accounts.
You will communicate both orally and in writing to express technical accounting policy statements to non-financial personnel in order for them to comprehend the impact of such policies.
You will provide detailed explanations of and proposed corrections for abnormal account and report balances.
You will manage financial management systems and official accounting systems financial reconciliation for echelon 3 staff and component commands, if required.
You will ensures proper maintenance of all accounting records and reports with adherence to all financial and accounting policies and procedures.
Requirements

- This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: analyzing, maintaining, or correcting financial accounts for reconciliation; and managing financial systems (i.e. DAI, SABRS, CFMS-C, Navy ERP, or Defense Travel System (DTS)) to ensure all accounting records and reports are accurate.
GS-11:Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting with analyzing, maintaining, or correcting financial accounts for reconciliation; and managing financial systems (i.e. DAI, SABRS, CFMS-C, Navy ERP, or Defense Travel System (DTS)) to ensure all accounting records and reports are accurate.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
