This position is part of the Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency. The incumbent will be responsible for analytical and administrative assignments related to the effectiveness of the three training academies.
Duties
Consults with Academy Directors and Program Managers to confirm program/system objectives, operational procedures, and program/system constraints.
Gathers, prepares and executes pre-and post-course administratively oriented tasks (e.g. prepares course materials, coordinates room set-ups and related logistics, summarizes course evaluation responses, etc.).
Troubleshoots training-related instructor, student, and staff issues.
Maintains equipment and materials inventory.
Organizes, plans, and provides training advice/guidance designing courses/tests and developing training support materials.
Prepares briefings pertaining to the overall CIGIE training program or specific training events.
Prepares and post content to CIGIE's social media platforms.
Qualifications
At the GS-07 level, you must meet the following qualification:
Must have at least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-05) in the Federal Service that has given you the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties the position. Specialized experience is defined as: Knowledge of various Microsoft Office software programs such as: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams Channel Management; Knowledge of and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to gather data from various sources, the ability to analyze and evaluate information for the purpose of determining completeness and consistency; Skills in oral and written communication; and Knowledge of electronic travel systems. OR
Must have successfully completed at least one (1) full year (18 semester hours) of graduate level education from an accredited college or university, which provided me with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. You must include transcripts. OR
Must have successfully completed of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major study such as Business Administration, Education, Communication, or another field of study which provided me with the knowledge and skills necessary for successful job performance to do the work of this position, and meet one of the following requirements for Superior Academic Achievement at the undergraduate level: 1) Class standing -- Graduated in the upper third of the class based on completed courses in the college, university, or major subdivision; 2) Grade-Point Average (G.P.A.)2.95 or higher out of a possible 4.0 scale as recorded on official transcript, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or the required courses in the major field completed during the final 2 years of the curriculum; or 3) Election to membership in a national scholastic honor society. (Note: A copy of your transcript is required as documented proof of your GPA, class standing, or election to honor society membership. Failure to provide your transcript will result in an ineligible rating). OR
Must have a combination of specialized experience and graduate education as described above. To combine education and experience, first take the number of semester hours or equivalent earned towards a graduate degree and divide by 18 semester hours or equivalent. Then take the number of months of full-time experience and divide by 12 months. Add the percentages together. The total must equal at least 100 percent to qualify. You must include transcripts.

TIME-IN-GRADE: Current career or career-conditional employees of the Federal government, or former career or career-conditional employees, who have a break in service of less than one year, are required to meet the time-in-grade restriction of one year of Federal experience at the next lower grade, with few exceptions outlined in 5 CFR 300.603(b).
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
