About the Position: This position serves as the Lead Program Support Specialist within the Passport Services Division, IMCOM located in Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Responsible for providing worldwide passport and visa services to military members, military dependents, and civilian customers throughout all branches of service.
Duties
Manages the Department of Defense (DoD) passport and passport agent training services program.
Coordinates all matters relating to official and diplomatic passport/visa requirements, travel documentation, military status, DoD civilian personnel, their dependents, and matters related to documentation requirements for travel overseas.
Serves as courier route manager, responsible for planning daily passport deliveries and pickups from local embassies, courier safety training, and fleet maintenance for vehicles assigned to the Passport Services Division.
Responsible for managing incoming and outgoing mail containing documentation for special issuance passports, visas, and citizenship records.
Serves as a passport agent for the purpose of accepting passport and visa applications from all members of the DoD community.
Serves as team leader, responsible for monitoring the work performed by subordinate team members.
Requirements

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative support of application process and delivery of passport/visa services to military and civilian customers throughout all branches of service worldwide; conducting passport certification training; responding to inquiries and providing guidance in areas such as, travel, passports, and visas. Experience independently planning, coordinating, and carrying out assignments; resolving related problems; and keeping supervisor informed of potentially controversial issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business Management/Business Administration. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
