About the Position: You will serve as the Administrative Support Assistant (OA) performing a wide variety of complex organizational projects and assignments within the Nashville Integrated Project Office in Nashville, TN.
This position can be filled at any grade level GS-06 or GS-07.
Duties
Schedule meetings, appointments, conferences and trips, makes arrangements to include preparation of orders, reservation, and itineraries, obtains meeting rooms, equipment and transportation, and notifies attendees.
Perform work on the basis of broad experiences and familiarity with organizations, missions, applicable policies, procedures, regulations.
Assist with planning, coordinating and accomplishing a variety of program support tasks.
Study administrative support service functions to improve efficiency and effectiveness by examining methods, procedures, policies, organizational structures, staffing, equipment and reporting requirements.
Create work items/resource plans to accept funds, training requests, trainees evaluation and obtain necessary access permissions.
Oversee suspense actions and coordinates with the staff to help insure compliance within established time limits.
Establish and maintain files.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- May be selected at any grade level with non-competitive promotion potential to target grade. Non-competitive promotion potential to the target grade based on time-in-grade requirements and demonstrated ability to perform the higher graded duties.
- You are required to be a qualified typist.

To qualify at the GS-06 grade level, you must have:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with procedural and administrative work in an office environment; preparing correspondence; maintaining files/records; arranging preparation of handouts; organizational skills and calendar management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
To qualify at the GS-07 grade level, you must have:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing procedural and administrative work in an office environment; preparing correspondence; maintaining files/records; making travel arrangements; maintaining inventory records for hand receipt accounts on property; making credit card purchases; gathering narrative and statistical budgetary data; prepare and monitor labor and fund requests; use an automated personnel database to initiate personnel actions; serve as timekeeper and complete weekly labor reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
