You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the Industrial Operations Directorate (SEA 04), Naval Shipyard Operations Department (04X), Shipyard Product Delivery (04X1) of NAVSEA HQ FIELD SUPPORT.
Duties
You will direct the translation of policies, objectives, and guidance from higher authority into guidance for Shipyards and Shipyard Project Teams headed by Project Superintendents.
You will provide executive leadership for Submarine project management operations by recommending Shipyard project management policy where appropriate at the local level.
You will monitor actual project resources (funds and manpower) for effective utilization and compliance with existing baselines.
You will direct the evaluation of impact of proposed policy changes and advise on the benefits and disadvantages of implementation.
You will provide continuous oversight and direction of high visibility complex ship repair projects having considerable impact on the manner and ability in which the Shipyards provide services to the Navy.
You will serve as the NAVSEA 04’s representative to Shipyard Commanders, Department/Office heads and outside agencies concerned with matters involving ship depot maintenance.
You will direct and manage the accomplishment of all phases of large-scale industrial ship maintenance programs involving direction through trade supervision.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-03 pay band (or GS-13 equivalency) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing surface ship repair or maintenance projects to ensure resources, funding, schedules and manpower are adequate to meet program requirements.
