Duties

You will provide overall coordination of the construction quality management program for assigned projects. You will coordinate information on work operations and materials in support of an occupational health program. You will establish effective working relationships with stakeholders to gain confidence and cooperation on difficult issues. You will maintain and manage records of contract performance, contract modification, and installation inventories. You will analyze technical requirements of a program to determine appropriate contract method or contract type for procurement.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1)Applying engineering concepts, principles and practices applicable to a range of engineering disciplines (i.e, civil, mechanical, electrical, structural, architectural, environmental) required for the design, layout, execution processes of construction operations in order to provide input on construction projects; 2)Ensuring compliance of quality control plans for construction projects; 3) Making recommendations to resolve problems encountered during construction operations; and 4) Interpreting construction guidance specifications for the purpose of monitoring contract compliance. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
