Duties
You will serve as a Senior Network IT Specialist / Subject Matter Expert to design, engineer and implement full solutions that integrate Network solutions with routers, switches, firewalls, VPN appliances, and other technologies.
You will design, engineer and implement full solutions that integrate NG91, meet JIE, NIST and other relevant guidance for DoD systems that work state and local 911 providers
You will design and integrate multi-vendor data center subsystem solutions for storage, network and compute.
You will ensure the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
You will perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software or engineering specifications.
Requirements

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 441 level Intermed/Journeyman within 12 months of appointment
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Lead the planning and scheduling for the installation of new or modified hardware and operating systems and applications software and providing support for deployment and sustainment of 911 and NG 911 technologies.
