About the Position: Serves as the full Deputy to the Chief, Programs, Planning, and Project Management Division (PPPMD).

Duties
Participates in planning and administering activities of the Planning, Programs, and Project Management Division and TNTCX.
As Deputy Chief (aka, Deputy DPM), ensures consistency and continuity of program management policies and procedures for the Civil Works, Military, Interagency and International Support (IIS), Environmental, and Tribal Nations programs.
Responsible for many non-personnel management actions in the day-to-day operation of PPPMD.
Applies a wealth of program and management knowledge, engineering/scientific knowledge, and leadership skills to the District’s mission set.
Provides Program direction in the Execution of District Projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Business Travel (TDY) of up to 20%.
- Supervisory probationary period required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supervisory experience with program & project management of civil works/planning projects, and/or military/IIS construction projects, and/or environmental projects, and/or tribal projects . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
