You will serve as a PROGRAM MANAGER in the Support Equipment (SE) and Aircraft Launch and Recovery Equipment (ALRE) Group, Support Equipment Department, PEO (A) PSE Division, P-8/P-3/VH-92 Support Equipment Branch of NAVAIRWARCENADLKE.

Duties

You will lead, plan, budget and manage SE and associated engineering and logistics support requirements for various systems managed by PMA-290, PMA-207 and numerous Foreign Military Sales cases. You will execute assigned acquisition and sustainment functions within program objectives for Cost, Schedule, and Performance (C/S/P) and in compliance with applicable Navy, SE and Foreign Military Sales policy and guidelines. You will coordinate and interface with all domestic and Foreign Military Sales stakeholders from various offices, departments, commands and countries. You will make program recommendations and negotiate with internal and external contacts to settle programmatic issues.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Planning, budgeting and managing across all system areas for identification, acquisition, delivery and sustainment of all required Support Equipment (SE) for domestic warfighters and Foreign Military Sales customers; 2) Coordinating and interfacing with appropriate Program Offices, NAVAIR and NAWCAD Departments, system commands, fleet representatives, FMS groups, and contractors to assure proper program execution; 3) Making major program recommendations regarding program direction, resources, policies, schedules and risk mitigation; and 4) Managing all project schedules, acquisitions and product support to ensure SE is identified, developed, procured, fielded and sustained in accordance with program objectives.
