You will serve as an Assistant Program Manager in the Service Common Support section of the Naval Special Warfare Program Management Office (PMS 340(NSW)) of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.

Duties

You will serve as a primary advisor to senior leaders, Directors, Commanders, contractors, contracting officers, etc., in the capacity of subject matter expert for assigned programs/projects. You will manage the acquisition, procurement and sustainment of all Service Common Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS) (night vision, thermals, standard optics, lasers) for the US Navy and their integration on USN platforms. You will be responsible for establishing program objectives and the planning, coordination, technical direction, research and development, administration, and budget formulation and justification for all phases of the program. You will review proposals submitted by industry and Department of Defense (DoD) development laboratories, and will be responsible for the overall development, production and coordination of assigned programs/projects. You will review material failure reports and initiates studies to determine cause and corrective action.   • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band (NH-03) or grade level (GS-13) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing program requirements (e.g. related to cost, schedule, performance, risk) to support the acquisition of defense or warfighting systems.
