About the Position: The National Occupational Health Center (NOHC) is located in Mobile, AL. The NOHC Program Manager will direct a team of subject matter experts, interface with leaders at all levels of the organization,and provide ongoing consultative services to ensure the successful development and execution ofthe USACE Occupational Health program.

Duties

Assists in the development of new/revised Occupational Health Program and USACE policies and information management tools. Provides critical guidance in the interpretation, development, and implementation of USACE Occupational Health Program policies. Provides guidance or recommends action to eliminate or control health hazards. Provides guidance on Occupational Medicine (OM) program assignments that include an array of health hazards in worldwide settings to include industrial/garrison and deployed locations. Provides critical guidance in the interpretation, development, and implementation of USACE Occupational Health Program policies. Directs the preparation of and maintains status reports of progress toward meeting OH program objectives for USACE. Exercises the full range of supervisory personnel management responsibility and authority in directing personnel in the USACE National Occupational Health Center (NOHC). Responsible for ensuring there is an adequate staff of qualified and trained professional, technical, and administrative safety and occupational health personnel to meet USACE’s current and future needs.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
  • Temporary Duty Travel of up to 25% is required.

For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
