About the Position: Serves as the Global Force Management Specialist assisting the Force Management Branch in performing a variety of duties to assure that Global Force Management (GFM) policies and procedures are developed and are applied in support of Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC), located in Miami, Florida.
Duties
Assist the Force Management Branch in performing a variety of duties to assure that Global Force Management (GFM) policies and procedures are developed and are applied in support of Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC).
Coordinates force rotational and emergent requirement actions to support Counter Drug/Counter-Narco Terrorism, Detection and Monitoring, Civil Affairs, Information Ops, and Intelligence Ops supporting the USSOUTHCOM Theater Campaign Plan.
Executes daily duties and serve as the Command's Global Force Management subject matter expert with the responsibility for executing the USSOUTHCOM Global Force Management Process.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time. Work may occasionally require travel away from the normal duty station on military or commercial aircraft.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment drug test screening, and random drug testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
- Immunization screening is required and May be required to obtain an official passport.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes preparing and presenting information concerning Global Force Management (GFM) identification and submission of force requirements to execute Command Theater Security Cooperation Engagements, Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC), Counter Drug/Counter-Narco Terrorism (CD/CNT) operations, Intelligence Signal Reconnaissance (ISR) Support, Operation Plan (OPLAN) timelines in support of the CPG and Joint Strategic Capability Plan (JSCP) requirements, and Secretary of Defense named Operations. Experience submitting forces requirements via the Joint Capability Requirements Management (JCRM) system. Reviewing and developing force management policy guidance in conjunction with Joint Staff and Force Providers. Experience managing the GFM allocation process and preparing for leadership approval and updating the command GFM website and share drive. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
