You will serve as a Supervisory Engineering Technician in the Quality Assurance Office of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.

Duties

You will serve as the principle advisor to the Director on administrative and technical matters. You will manage quality assurance engineering and analysis, welding engineering, ship systems, nuclear and non-nuclear inspections and nondestructive test inspection. You will improve work processes and utilize manpower and material resources effectively and efficiently. You will carry out Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) policies and communicate support of these policies to subordinates. You will develop, implement and coordinate the utilization of new or improved quality assurance techniques within the shipyard.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience managing quality assurance programs, industrial procedures and operations found in naval shipyards. Experience planning and executing various types of complex projects as well as interpreting directives, instructions, plans, standards and procedures. Experience evaluating work, material and methods against several directives and procedures. Experience applying scientific and engineering principles of the type, scope, and thoroughness acquired through knowledge of mechanical, electrical, welding, structural and/or nuclear engineering.
