This position is located at Office of the Inspector General for Tax Admin, Office of Investigation. As a Management Analyst, you will be responsible for a variety of highly complex special projects and staff assignments. Additional assignments may include responsibility for one or more programmatic areas within the Office of Investigations (OI).
Duties
The following are the duties of this position at the GS-14. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- Analyze new or proposed legislation, regulation, other authoritative guidance as well as changing trends and developments to determine impact on TIGTA and OA or OI program area operations and, as necessary, develops resultant implementation plans.
- Attend meetings and conferences with internal and external stakeholders and will exercise authority to represent and make commitments for OA or OI as applicable.
- Conduct studies, analyze results and make recommended changes or improvements as conditions warrant.
- Prepare OA or OI operational directives, memoranda, OA or OI policy statements impacting any assigned program area as well as preparing other required written guidelines and recommendations.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Overseeing and coordinating various projects, products, and other strategic initiatives across an organization.
Examples may include:
- Defining goals and objectives of an assigned program area.
OR
- Analyzing activities and making recommendations to change or improve activities as conditions warrant.
OR
- Developing internal operating policies, procedures, or standards for effective administration of a program area.
Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
Assisting with the coordination of various projects, products, and other strategic initiatives across an organization.

Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
