This position is aligned under the Community Care Network (CCN) department within Nursing Service at the Oklahoma City VA Health Care System (OKCVAHCS). The position is located at the Research Park office in Oklahoma City, OK. The primary purpose of this position serves as the integral
link between the local Office of Community Care, the national program office, Community Care providers and the Clinical Services at OKCVHA. Incumbent aligns under the Chief Nurse of Community Care.
Duties
Major duties of this position include but are not limited to:
Knowledgeable of the mission, organization, and work processes of programs throughout the Community Care Program and the VA Medical Center.
Skilled in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria for the measurement and improvement of VHA and CCN program effectiveness and/or organizational productivity.
Possess the skills, ability, and knowledge to communicate well, both orally and in writing and provides excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Advises Community Care Leadership Team and Clinical Director in identifying service line's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and develops and implements plans for improvement.
Makes recommendations based on analysis of complex data for optimizing organization structure, staffing and efficiencies.
Assists in forecasting and estimating program requirements and preparing programmatic reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data for presentations and briefings.
Evaluates and advises on the organization, methods, and procedures for providing administrative support system that may include directives, files, and documentation; provides integral feedback regarding network adequacy and demands for specialty services to CCN Third Party Administrator.
Attends, coordinates and conducts outreach to community providers, other health facilities, and town hall events to benefit the partnerships with the VA.
Provides data driven analyses and recommendations to direct the procurement of or direction to procure agreements based on demand for Community Care Services of OKCVAHCS veterans.
Complies with all Federal, VA, and local acquisition policies and regulations, as well as VA and local policies and procedures related to the Government Purchase Card Program.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. - 4:30p.m
