THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.
This National Guard position is for an AIRMAN AND FAMILY READINESS SPECIALIST-Title 5, Position Description Number T5302P01 and is part of the WI 115 FSS, Wisconsin Air National Guard.
Duties
Responsible for the overall management, control and execution of the ANG family readiness and support programs to include Personal and Family Life Education services, Airman and Family Readiness Deployment Support, Personal Financial Readiness services, Employment Assistance, Military Child / Youth Program and Education, Transition Assistance Program - Title 32 and 10 funding, Wounded, Ill, and Injured Warrior / member and or family member, Disaster Preparedness - EFAC / AFPAAS, Relocation Assistance Program, Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), Community Outreach and Cooperative Interface, Voting Assistance Program, and Educates on Survivor Benefit Plan at the unit level.
Develops plans for an efficient resource management program and maximum support of service delivery to include resource center (discovery center), equipment, funding, tracking, and computerized systems - AFFIRST, etc.
Assess customer interactions and documents all service related customer and community activities in AFFIRST.
Develops and presents information for seminars, conferences, and orientation workshops as appropriate for service members, family members and volunteers.
Coordinates plans and schedules with other organization managers and customers as appropriate.

Qualifications
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: To qualify for the GS-0301-11 position, you must have at least 36 months of experience coordinating people and resources from multiple organizations to assist in presentations. Experience preparing and delivering written communications and oral presentations to all levels of an organization. Experience with financial literacy as it relates to families and individuals. Experience in gathering information from multiple sources and recommending a course of action. Experience reading, interpreting, and providing guidance based on laws, rules, and regulations. A preferred candidate has experience in personal and family life readiness, financial readiness, mobilization and deployment, and relocation. Ability and experience in assessing the needs of Service members and families who are experiencing significant life transitions or challenges. Experience counseling, coaching, and consulting Service Members and their families. Knowledge of and proven ability to work with veteran service organizations. A working knowledge of Veteran's Administration disability claims process. Experience or knowledge of the Transition Assistance Program is a must. Experience or training providing financial literacy training and education, personal financial counseling, and financial readiness strategies to Service Members and their families. Skilled public speaker and ability to brief Service Members, volunteers, family members, and all levels of command. Experience in coordination and recognition of volunteers. Experience in coordinating community, state, and national resources to assist Service Members.
