This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing, SECURITY AND INVESTIGATIONS DIVISION. As a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST, you will be responsible for directing the product, physical, information, and industrial security programs for the Office of Security.
Duties
As a SUPERVISORY SECURITY SPECIALIST, you will:
Perform all managerial and supervisory duties with the Security and Investigations Division. Direct the work to the work to be accomplished by staff; set goals and objectives and priorities; and prepare schedules for completion of work.
Develop, implement and monitor polices, instructions, procedures, control systems, and methods for such functions and activities as: delegations and exercise of classification and declassification authority; development of classification guides, document marking, safeguarding, and use; personnel access controls; need to know criteria; physical storage and control; security education; and transmitting, transferring, reproducing, downgrading, and destroying information.
Negotiate formal security agreements with contractors and review the nature of classified contracts to identify the level and kind of secure work to be performed in the facility and the kind and extent of security protection required for the programs involved.
Formulate methodologies and strategies for conducting comprehensive security assessments of the BEP's internal functions, as well as, of contractor and vendor facilities to ensure compliance with BEP security objectives, policies and procedures.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:
- Experience completing self-assessment evaluations for Vulnerability assessment. AND
- Participating on an Interagency Security Committee (ISC) identifying security concerns and making recommendations. AND
- Creating, planning, and managing the implementation of a security program to meet organizational needs.
