The primary purpose of this position is a Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) position in the 412 TW Plans and Programs Directorate, Intelligence Section (XP2).

Duties
Perform Duties as the Edwards AFB Site Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO): Fully responsible for all aspects of the daily management, operation, security, and maintenance of the SCI network to include the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communication System (JWICS) node at Edwards AFB as well as all connections/interfaces with backside customers.
Performs Duties and the 412 TW/XP2 Cybersecurity Liaison Official: Responsible as the lead official for all actions required to maintain accountability for and security of all non-SCI information systems located within the 412 TW Intelligence Section to include SIPRnet, NIPRnet, and standalone computers, laptops, and video presentation systems.
Provides Intelligence Information Technology Customer Service and Support: Responsible to manage and support/maintainall Intelligence and Information Systems used within the Edwards AFB Intelligence Section to include SCInet (JWICS), SIPRnet, and NIPRnet.
Perform Duties as the Information Technology and Equipment Resource Manager: Incumbent is responsible to perform primary functions as the Information Technology Equipment and Supply Equipment Custodian for all accountable Cryptographic Communication Equipment.

- All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.
- Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information.
- Involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

- TRAVEL AND RELOCATION EXPENSES WILL NOT BE PAID.
- Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program.
- Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
- The employee may be required to travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments.

- This position includes information assurance (IA) work as a paramount duty requirement. Per DoD 8570.01-M, the incumbent of this position must achieve the appropriate IA certification within six months of assignments of these duties.
- A waiver of this six months requirement may be granted per DoD 8570.01-M, C3.2.4.2 or C3.2.4.3. Failure to receive the proper IA certification may result in removal from this position.
Qualifications
This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GG-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the 12 grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, for the GS-2210, Information Technology (IT) Management Series (Alternative A).

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: knowledge of SCI and collateral security concepts, policies, principles, and practices to review, analyze and resolve difficult information system security problems. Knowledge of a full range of IT security principles, concepts, practices, products, and services (including system software, database software, immediate access technology), and methods for evaluating risk and vulnerability, recommending mitigation actions, and disseminating IT security tools and procedures; IT security certification and accreditation requirements and network operations and protocols. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of computer Information Assurance and security disciplines to include data availability and assurance, collection capabilities and methods, computer processing techniques and all associated system security protection procedures is required.
2. Comprehensive knowledge, understanding and the ability to manage a wide variety of SCI networking and security projects. Incumbent must have a thorough and complete understanding of applicable SCI computer security directives and possess the ability to apply current directives to existing and future SCI networks and systems.
3. Detailed understanding of contractor SCI computer security policies as the apply to procedures for security operations at both contractor SCI facilities as well as for contractors who work at government owned and controlled SCI facilities.
4. Demonstrated ability to analyze and correct customer's hardware and software problems and be able to exercise IT security methodologies and principles directed toward the planning and conducting of security accreditation reviews for all security levels of installed systems and networks.
5. Knowledge of acquisition policy and guidance and the role intelligence plays throughout a weapon system's lifecycle to include the roles and responsibilities required by field communications support personnel in support of USAF Acquisition Test Programs to include test operations, execution, and protection is required.
6. Skill in communicating effectively with others, both orally and in writing, working out solutions to problems or question related to the work. Ability to write clear and concise communications support products and delivering oral presentations regarding IT security to senior-level audiences for decision-making purposes.
