This position is located in the Department of Housing and Urban Development, Asst Secretary for Housing-Federal Housing Commissioner.
Duties
As a/an Management and Program Analyst, you will:
Provide Program coordination and support in the analysis and development of policy, legislation and research.
Analyze and evaluate PRA and Directives functions and activities for internal and external program offices under consideration. This includes all customer agencies as well as all program offices within HUD.
Define, plan, develop, and implement controls and procedures for the organizations in Headquarters and the Field structures.
Perform extensive and in-depth reviews for a more efficient and effective mission and function as it relates to the Division, Office and the programs carried out within the organization.
Research and investigate new or improved business and management practices for application to Housing programs and operations.
Qualifications
You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.
For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:
Coordinate the review and processing of policy Directives packages, information collections, rules, directives, reports and clearances; AND
Serve as a liaison between program offices and the department in coordinating and reviewing directives and reports for review; AND
Applying laws, policies, and regulations relating to program operations; AND
Contributing to new or modified program policies, regulations, goals or objectives and identifying data required for use in the management and direction of programs.
Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-13 you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.
Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
