About the Position: This position is with IMCOM HQ, USAG Fort Huachuca. Serves as an Administrative Officer for an IMCOM Garrison. Plans, directs and coordinates the full scope of administrative services pertaining to all aspects of Garrison operations.

Duties

As an Administrative Officer, you are responsible for the following duties: Plan, direct, and coordinate the full scope of administrative services pertaining to all aspects of Garrison operations. Advise the Garrison staff, on administrative functions, to include review and analysis of program activities, civilian and military personnel services, logistics and supply matters, purchasing, records management and other administrative matters. Develop and analyze a variety of statistical data including charts, graphs, or reports. Prepare clear and accurate briefings for management. Coordinate arrangements for special events and social functions.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 5% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing guidance on administrative regulations, procedures and policies; planning and developing reports for organizations; and accomplishing special projects that may include manpower, budget, and other resource management matters. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Human Resources or Business. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07). All applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade and specialized experience requirements within thirty (30) days after the closing date of the announcements. Current employees applying under VEOA are subject to time-in-grade restrictions like any other GS employee.
