The Fraud Section investigates and prosecutes complex white-collar criminal cases across the country, and has responsibility for implementing and coordinating the Department's fraud enforcement policy. The Fraud Section seeks a Management and Program Analyst to assist the Chief of the Health Care Fraud Unit in overseeing administrative programs and office operations.

Duties

Generally, as a Management and Program Analyst in the Health Care Fraud Unit, the incumbent: Serves as a liaison, and immediate point of contact on questions and issues involving office administration, including: procurement for litigation support, expert witnesses and other services required to support investigations and trials, recruitment and staffing, leave, pay, performance evaluation reports, and other related issues. Performs a wide range of administrative duties to support the operations of the Section, to include space management, policy implementation and compliance, budget tracking and execution, and support of various other administrative programs. Assists the Unit with human resource planning and execution. Assists the Unit with training programs and conferences. Updates and Maintains the Unit's internal and external websites. Analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of administrative programs and operations. As requested, manages other administrative programs and special projects for the Unit. Qualifications

To qualify at the GS-11 grade level, applicants must have one of the following: A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three (3) full years of progressively higher education leading to such a degree, or LL.M, if related, that demonstrates the competencies needed to do the work of the position; OR Possess one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-09 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include: assisting with human resources planning and execution to improve office efficiency; facilitating procurement for litigation support, expert witnesses, and other services required to support investigations and trials; and performing a wide range of administrative duties to support office operations, to include space management, policy implementation and compliance, and budget tracking and execution; OR Have a combination of education and experience. Please note, only education in excess of two full years of graduate education may be used in this calculation. To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience at, or equivalent to, the GS-11 grade level. Examples of specialized experience include: assisting with human resources planning and execution to improve office efficiency; facilitating procurement for litigation support, expert witnesses, and other services required to support investigations and trials; developing detailed plans, goals, and objectives for the long-range implementation and administration of administrative programs; and performing a wide range of administrative duties to support office operations, to include space management, policy implementation and compliance, and budget tracking and execution. Combination of Education and Experience - Your current education completed is credited as a percentage of the education required for the grade level and your current experience is credited as a percentage of the total experience required for the grade level. The two percentages are added and must equal 100% in order to qualify for the desired grade level. All academic degrees and coursework must be completed at a college or university that has obtained accreditation or pre-accreditation status from an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Foreign Education: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show that the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
