About the Position: Works with the SHARP Program Manager and Command Staff to manage the Sexual Harassment/Assault Response and Prevention (SHARP) Program for the Garrison Commander. The serviced population includes Soldiers, family members, Department of Army civilians (OCONUS), and contractor personnel authorized to accompany US Forces OCONUS in contingency operations.
This position is located in Ft. Jackson, SC.
Duties
Develop and promotes program publicity materials in accordance with approved SHARP campaign messaging.
Establish information and interactive, engaging training to ensure understanding of the reporting procedures, confidentiality and other elements of the SHARP program.
Plans, organizes staffs, carries out reviews and evaluates a positive management oriented SHARP program that includes efforts to resolve systemic problems.
Conduct response activities in the event of a sexual harassment complaint or sexual assault.
Conduct prevention activities in an effort to reduce or eliminate sexual harassment and sexual assault.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position is Emergency Essential in support of mobilization and wartime mission.
- Within 6 months of employment must successfully complete required SHARP training and obtain/maintain certification through the DOD Sexual Assault Advocate Certification Program (D-SAACP).
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
- Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license, and any installation, DOD and/or Federal license or certification required for vehicle operated.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) required 10% of the time
- This position may require the employee to be occasionally on-call and may be required to carry a cell phone and be on call 24/7 on a rotational basis based on the needs of the organization.
- This position involves duties that are sensitive and confidential in nature.
