The primary purpose of this position is to provide base-wide IT Asset Management (ITAM) program oversight and support, to conduct analysis and assist organizations in conducting comprehensive ITAM and provide basic ITAM operations capabilities to improve mission effectiveness, resource efficiency, and resource savings.
Duties
Serves as Base Equipment Control Officer (BECO) responsible for providing base-wide ITAM program management oversight, ensuring base-wide compliance with DoD, AF, and AFMC ITAM policy, and ensuring positive control and accountability of sensitive IT hardware assets.
Serves as Alternate ITAM Warehouse Manager responsible for managing all issues related to the ordering, receipt, processing, storage, and distribution of IT hardware assets.
Represents the organization with a variety of installation and higher headquarters functional area organizations to resolve problems and create control and analytical techniques to resolve problems.
Participates in special projects and performs special assignments related to ITAM programs, processes, and procedures.

Qualifications
Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Management and Program Analysis Series 0343. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes resolving complicated problems affecting ITAM programs, processes, and requirements; Conducting studies that are complicated by the need to consider and evaluate the impact of changes in regulatory requirements, long range budgeting, and forecasting goals, etc.; Developing innovative solutions to identified program, process, and work limitations; Collecting and analyzing pertinent organizational ITAM data and information to develop, quantify, and justify any changes or recommendations. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.
FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-11 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-12 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge and skills in the application of DoD, Joint, and AF ITAM principles, concepts, and methodologies and basic ITAM directives, concepts, procedures, guidance, and policy.
2. Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative methods and techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of the assigned program.
3. Knowledge and skill in adapting analytical techniques and evaluation criteria to the measurement and improvement of effectiveness of the assigned program.
4. Skill in applying knowledge gleaned from studies and analyses of program efficiency and effectiveness to develop detailed plans, goals, and objectives for long-range program administration. \
5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to influence managers and other officials to accept and implement findings and recommendations on organizational improvement or program effectiveness
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
