The Truman VA is recruiting for an Administrative Support Assistant position in Patient Care Services
Duties
Duties include, but are not limited to:
The incumbent is the primary Talent Management System (TMS) Administrator for Patient Services.
Provides training information to Associate Director for Patient Services, Deputy Nurse Executive, Operations Manager/Staff Assistant, supervisors and employees.
Reviews all training reports for accuracy and resolve discrepancies with the facility TMS Administrator.
Assures that designation of supervisor is correct in TMS. Coordinates attendance for all off station training offered by the Learning Organization, both on and off station.
Primary contact for all equipment, furniture, supplies and library requests for Patient Services.
Maintain a tracking system for all items relating to their job duties to include but not limited to Executive Career Field Contracts, including supervisory accountability, performance measure & monitors and the Patient Services Dashboard.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:00am - 4:30pm

Physical Requirements: Incumbent will be bending, reaching and lifting when performing daily office functions, such as filing. Bending, reaching, and lifting are necessary for filing and periodic moving of office furniture. Due to the volume and variety of responsibilities, incumbent will periodically work under stress and pressure in meeting deadlines.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
GS-6 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-5 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: providing administrative support, operating a personal computer, using a computer to process and analyze and monitor data, sorting and processing incoming correspondence, coordinating with others between various units and offices to accomplish work-related projects, proofreading documents for grammatical errors, coordinating and organizing program activities, answering inquiries, making routine decisions, analyzing and interpreting information.
There is no educational substitution for the GS-6 level.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
