About the Position: The Army Medical Logistics Command (AMLC), a major subordinate command of the Army Materiel Command (AMC), focuses on enabling strategic power projection readiness, total force materiel, and supply chain optimization in support of multi-domain operations.

Duties

Plan, schedule and conduct inspections of all workplaces and tenants Ensure inspections are prioritized and completed based upon risk/hazard classification Enter and maintain information in a designated database until abated Issue monthly reports of all outstanding findings Acts as the organizational Safety and Hazardous Material Action Officer. Manage the Radiation, Hearing and Respiratory Safety programs Provides environmental compliance audits and corrective action reports

Requirements

  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
  • This position is considered "Mission Essential". See explanation below.
  • "Mission Essential" - In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
  • This position requires the incumbent to obtain and maintain CP-12 certification within 12 months of hire.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
