This position is part of the Organization of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, execution and assessment of distributed simulation capabilities demonstrated during the Joint Staff's Bold Quest series of events.
Duties
As a PROGRAM ANALYST (DISTRIBUTED SIMULATION INTEROPERABILITY) at the GS-0343-14 some of your typical work assignments may include:
Serves as the Distributed Simulation Interoperability Analyst in developing, integrating and employing distributed simulation to support training, testing and experimentation.
Leads matrixed team members in distributed simulation efforts for JS J6's Bold Quest coalition capability demonstration and assessment event. Establishes systems configuration and technical standards to support demonstrations and assessments.
Develops test objectives, test cases and test plans to support distributed simulation integration testing and risk reduction events.
Develops the distributed simulation demonstration and assessment plan for Bold Quest events.
Reviews and assesses DoD and Service requirements, policy and guidance on joint fires, warfighting readiness, joint training, distributed simulation, information sharing and cybersecurity to identify interoperability gaps.

Qualifications
You may qualify at the GS-14, if you fulfill the following qualifications:
A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service:
Analyzing distributed simulation capabilities during Bold Quest events.
Determining the ability of distributed simulators to improve performance in combined joint fires.
Implementing technical solutions to fill interoperability gaps after the development of test objectives, test cases and test plans.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
