About the Position: This position is located with the III CORPS, G-3 OPS/PLANS/FI/TRAINING OPERATIONS, Fort Cavazos, Texas.
Duties
Evaluative methods and techniques to issues concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of Operation Plans and Domestic/Contingency and force Protection Programs.
Develop and evaluation of short range, long range, strategic mission support plans, and ARFORGEN plans.
Prepare operations orders to subordinate divisions within the installation to support installation special functions, ceremonies, training events and/or community relations programs.
Resolve effectiveness and efficiency of staff activities related programs and resources.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must obtain and maintain a Top security clearance.
- Incumbent is required to sign a DA form 5019-R, and/or DA form 7412 "Condition of employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the drug abuse testing program," or a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
- Incumbent may spend up to 25% of the time in TDY status.
- This position may require a probationary period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/ or experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Evaluative methods and techniques to issues concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of Operation Plans and Domestic/Contingency and force Protection Programs; 2) implement short range, long range, strategic mission support plans, 3) organizes techniques and procedures to coordinate, draft and manage contingency and deployment plans, and 4) Solve problems to influence managers to accept recommendations on organizational improvement or program effectiveness. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Project Management or Business Administration.
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
