The selectee of this position serves as a Budget Analyst responsible for performing a wide variety of administrative and analytical duties involved with budget formulation and execution.
This position is located in the Justice Prisoner and Alien Transportation System / Kansas City, Missouri.
Duties
As a Budget Analyst at the GS-0560-13 grade level, some of your typical work assignments may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Developing pricing strategies.
Justifying budget estimates and program needs.
Administering and controlling fixed and variable cost budgets.
Conducting special studies of financial management and budget operations.
Overseeing automated financial systems.

Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the experience required for the grade level to which you apply.
To qualify at the GS-13 grade level, you must meet the following:
Specialized Experience: Experience that equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. You must have at least one year (12 months) of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service performing the following duties:
Using an automated financial system to monitor a program's execution of funds in accordance with anticipated revenues and costs;
Conducting cost-benefit analyses to determine fiscally responsible courses of action on behalf of a business unit or program office; AND
Justifying budget proposals orally and/or in writing to gain acceptance from program managers or executive leaders.
